Weekly Planner Template: Plan Your Week by Day
A weekly planner puts Monday to Sunday in rows and splits each day into morning, afternoon and evening. The whole week fits on one page, so you can compare the days that are packed with the ones that are free.
Because the days run down the page instead of across it, the table is narrow and stays readable on a phone held upright. At the top there is a single line for the goal of the week.
Sketio does not send reminders or sync with a calendar. Put the fixed appointments in your usual calendar as well.

What each part does
- Goal this week: send the proposal by Friday
- The top line. Write the one thing you most want to finish this week.
- Day
- The heading of the left column. Each row below it is one day.
- Mon
- The row for Monday. Write the plans for the day to its right. Saturday and Sunday have their own colours.
- Morning
- A column for the morning. If a plan has a fixed time, write the time at the start.
- Afternoon
- A column for the afternoon. Writing the plans with a fixed time first shows how much room is left.
- Evening
- A column for the evening: plans after work, and time to rest.
How to fill it in
- Write the goal of the week on the top line.
- Write the plans that have a fixed time first, in the row of the day and the column of the time.
- Put the things you want to do into the boxes that are still empty.
- If one day is packed, move something to a day that has room.
- At the end of the week, compare what you wrote with what happened, then redo the table for next week.
When to use it
- Planning a week of work, housework or study.
- Sharing who does what and when with a family on one page.
- Spreading the study for the week before an exam or a presentation.
Common variations
Use finer time slots
If morning, afternoon and evening are not enough, add columns and divide the day by the clock. Every column makes the table wider, so for a phone three columns is about as many as stay easy to read.
Put a family side by side
Make one table for each person and place them next to each other. You can see who is busy on the same day.
When you do not know what to do yet
Write out the things to do on a brainstorming mind map first, then spread them over the week in this table.
Make it yours
Change the rows and columns to fit your life. To start the week on Sunday, put the rows in that order.
